Media Ingest Technician (Temporary)
THE ROLE: Freelance Tape Ingest Technician
A&E Television Networks is seeking an Ingest T ape T echnician to Ingest multiple HD/SD videotape formats to DNx file. Must have an understanding of various tape-based formats and file format/codecs. This is a third-party freelance position and flexibility for Nights & Weekends is needed.
MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• HD/SD tape ingest and transcoding .
• Read waveform/vector and audio scopes.
• Coordinate delivery priorities with various parties as required.
• Upload file s to the appropriate delivery platform.
• I dentify machine faults and problematic tape anomalies .
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:
On our team, you will have the opportunity to archive content for preservation and future use . Collaborate with Media Asset Services, Production Services and Fulfilment to name just a few of the stakeholders in our organization. You will get a snapshot of the inner workings of Network Television and be a part of safeguarding content for years to come.
YOUR STORY: [ BEHAVIORS] (what you need to have)
• 4 year bachelor's degree in TV/Film or Media Related Program and/or 2-4 years related job experience in the Media Industry.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail.
• Strong Knowledge of Br oadcast video formats, codecs, wrappers and transcoding workflows.
• Ability to multitask in a fas t-paced environment ef fectively and work autonomously with minimal supervision.
• Knowledg e of Amberfin , Telestream Live Capture and Adobe Premiere a plus.
• Passion for new technology and a desire to work in the entertainment/media industry.
• Positive attitude with a desire to excel in a team-oriented culture.
