ROLE SUMMARY:
THE ROLE: Manager, Procurement and Analytics
This position will directly support the VP, Chief Procurement Office (CPO) in building world-class procurement capabilities for A+E Networks (AETN), partnering with internal stakeholders and department owners to ensure they receive maximum value for every dollar spent. They will support the hiring and onboarding of procurement team members as the team is developed in the future.
Primary responsibilities for the role include providing analytical, coordination and project management support during development and execution of sourcing processes, including - strategic sourcing, category management, supplier relationship management, contract management, compliance and transaction procurement.
The Manager, Procurement and Analytics will develop strong working relationships with the key business stakeholders to support the development and execution of strategies; support the CPO in ensuring overall governance and successful delivery of all major sourcing strategies and procurement operations.
MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Strategic sourcing activity and contract negotiation:
• Assist category teams in gathering spend and contract data, conducting spend analytics and developing spend / vendor profiles to identify sourcing opportunities
• Facilitate / support cross-functional teams as applicable to execute the sourcing process and plans
• Support supplier selection and decision process (incl. RFP preparation and execution)
• Support contract development, negotiation and execution process
• Manage deal and savings pipeline
• Track contract expirations and sourcing opportunity reporting
• Model existing cost structure of deals to enable baseline comparisons, and calculate cost impacts of final deals
• Analyze supplier spend to identify supply base rationalization opportunities
Category strategy collaboration and operational implementation:
• Support the function to create value, drive continuous improvement, and provide realized savings by applying category management and strategic sourcing leading practices
• Lead and/or participate on project teams as required or assigned
• Support market intelligence and research efforts for category management and sourcing, ie- top suppliers, industry trends, M&A, etc.
• Map and support analysis of supplier spend and buying patterns
Supplier relationship management:
• Provide support in measuring and managing supplier performance issues in collaboration with relevant internal business customers
• Support Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with suppliers
Business process and compliance:
• Support rollout of procurement policies and procedures
• Manage compliance to procurement policies and procedures on an ongoing basis
Tail spend management process:
• Facilitate the tail spend management process on a daily / weekly basis in collaboration with the department process owners and buyers / requestors
• Provide training on the process and tool to new buyers / requestors, and address questions on an as needed basis
• Gather KPI data and generate dashboards / reports for weekly governance committee meetings with department process owners, CPO and governance committee members
• Facilitate the governance committee meetings
Reporting:
• Support CPO in establishing appropriate management reporting and develop reports to support upward communication of savings opportunities and established procurement goals
• Provide analytics and reporting support to CPO as needed
• Validate all reported procurement savings
• Support CPO budget tracking
• Build presentation materials for business partner reviews, as required
YOUR STORY:
• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Business, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain or related disciplines required
• 3+ years relevant experience in procurement – preferably in both strategic and operational roles
• Project management skills to oversee a multiplicity of tasks in a cross functional / divisional environment
• Knowledge of procurement systems, processes and procedures
• Proficient in MS Office applications – Power Point, Word, Excel
• Strong analytical skills and familiarity with analytical / reporting tools like Power BI, Tableau preferred
• Media & Entertainment or related industry experience preferred, but not required
• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal interactions skills
