THE ROLE: Manager, Post Production – LA
The Post Production Manager will oversee day to day post production operations of our boutique editing facility in A+E networks LA office. This Manager will oversee the scheduling of our Editors and other technical and creative personnel, along with management of projects, priorities, and deliveries to the A+E NY post facility and Stamford Broadcast Center.
MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO:
A+E Networks Post Production Manager manages all Production Operations in our LA office, overseeing a small team of Editors and crewing freelance post production talent as needed.
This manager will partner with the NY Executive Producer, and NY / LA Marketing brand Creative Directors & Production Managers on creative crewing, priorities, scheduling, and volume
Creatively support client needs within facility and exceed brand partner expectations
Recruit, manage, guide a team of Editors and Assistant Editors.
Stay informed on all facility technical processes to advise Editors + AE's on facility updates
Address and act on emergencies and challenges while also implementing long-term workflow strategies to enhance current operations and productivity.
Train and mentor Editorial team on all administrative workflows, creative support services, and client relationships
Laisse with larger NY Post Production teams on project priorities, media content sharing, and best practices.
Collaborate with Executive Producer of Production Operations and creative brand partners on crewing creative talent project to project.
Laisse with EP on producing special content, outside of standard LA business partners.
Maintain daily dialogue with crew, Engineering, Office Services, and creative team partners to assure facility and personnel maximization and output efficiencies.
Source external artistic / creative vendors; sound mixing, color correcting, visual effects, etc.
Evoke new business opportunities with other LA content creation groups in order to keep work in-house and save money.

YOUR STORY: [+BEHAVIORS] (what you need to have):
• Must have 6-7 years' experience in a post-production environment for a high-volume facility
• Ability to manage multiple projects at once, both short and long term, and with varying deadlines
• Must be highly personable and a strong communicator; to obtain and speak to associates' and partners' scheduling needs, and convey schedule info (and resolve discrepancies) to post crew
