THE ROLE: Manager, History Programming
A+E Networks has a Manager opportunity in Los Angeles in the History unscripted programming department.
MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Manager, History Programming:
• Develop new non-fiction series and specials for History, including meeting with and taking pitches from key and potential producers to discuss projects
• Supervise production of programs and series; review and approve outlines, scripts, rough cuts, budgets and post-production
• Maintain high degree of knowledge of current events and trends
• Help manage a series and development slate
• Participate in notes meetings, giving feedback on projects
• Act as liaison between the Network Departments (Production, Publicity, Business Affairs, Casting, etc.) to streamline the flow of information. Manage the flow of information for projects in production and development.
• Create presentations for review in company-wide meetings, and presentations for conferences

YOUR STORY:
• BA/BS Degree
• 3+ years of unscripted development experience
• Have strong sense of story and a passion for history
• Strong time management and multi-tasking skills needed and must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Detailed-oriented and extremely organized
• Must have the ability to work independently, efficiently and be able to meet deadlines under strict time constraints
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent presentation skills
