THE ROLE: Live-Action Coordinator (Temporary)
The Creative Production Group is the internal marketing production agency for A E Television Networks responsible for producing shoot based commercials & promos for A&E, HISTORY, and Lifetime.
The Live-Action Production Coordinator is responsible for helping build and maintain A E internal production resources, oversee production operations and finance, and work on specific shoot based projects as a production coordinator with a interest in moving into a production manager or junior line-producer role.
MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Live-Action Coordinator (Temporary) Job Description:
• Onboard new producers & production managers and familiarize them with production practices.
• Oversee wrap-outs of jobs with freelance production managers, insuring appropriate records are kept, filed, and stored.
• Submit, track, and reconcile all petty cash, check requests, and credit card charges for all shoots and insure they are billed to the correct project line.
• Liaise with crew, vendors, and personnel to make sure invoices are submitted correctly and routed to AP quickly. This requires pushing AP to expedite new vendor and personnel invoices. Point of contact if there are errors for invoices.
• Expedite check requests from AP for last minute purchases.
• Keep accounts payable up to date with list of current shoots so they can better support us.
• Generate COIs for live-action production.
• Book crew travel or set up field producers/coordinators.
• Oversee all payroll to insure crew is paid within 30 days (we are subject to lawsuits if not).
• Set up new vendors in the system and ensure current ones are set up correctly.
• Make sure production office is stocked with necessary supplies.
• Ship and receive packages for group
• Ensure final spots are delivered to brand managers & schedulers for final delievery.
• Refine and create group operating procedures and processes
• Track, update, and maintain crew & personnel lists
• Liaise with legal to ensure wrap out and legal releases are mainted properly.
• Track and maintain department projects, workflow, and schedule.
• Keep updated log of all shoot production to track savings.
• Work with finance, legal and business affairs to develop best practices for insurance forms, crew costs, rental agreements, petty cash, p cards, talent agreements, stock footage, and other rights and clearance.
• Act as Production Manager on specific projects.
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:
On our team, you'll have the opportunity to learn what goes in to producing commercials and promo's for 3 major networks from a production & creative perspective.
YOUR STORY:
• 1 years in a live-action/field production role (production coordinator or manager)
• Must possess strong organizational skills, effective time management, and have an incredulous attention to detail.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with internal and external teams.
• Must be able to work independently, make smart decisions, and think strategically with an attention to detail.
• Must be a strong team player, vocal without being overbearing, and with a creative eye for producing visual material.
• Must be able to work weekends and late nights during production windows with an ability to handle high volumes of complex projects and tasks.
• Must feel comfortable tackling creative opportunities as they arise (interviewing talent and potentially Directing if the opportunity fits).
