Executive Producer LMN (Temporary)
POSITION SUMMARY
Oversee current series, and develop & oversee new non-fiction series and specials for LMN (A E Networks). This includes Identifying great projects, self-generating fresh ideas, and working with the Programming Team to develop the next generation of hit series for LMN. This is both a development and production oversight (EP) position.
PRIMARY DUTIES
OVERSEE CURRENT SERIES & SPECIALS
Executive Produce Pilots and Returning Series – Work with managers and production companies to deliver original, unique and entertaining pilots, and as directed, to EP assigned returning series.
DEVELOP NEW SERIES, Pilots, Demos -- Includes the following:
*Identify hit concepts – Canvas the production community to find, procure and nurture new hit series
*Screen rough cuts for pilots and new series for with other Directors and head of dept/VP and give notes on their current and development projects. Consult on graphics, music, and casting, and help hone ideas into shows.
*Brainstorm and partner with team members to deliver hit concepts – Work collaboratively with the Programming team to help maximize strong ideas and contribute creative and analytical thoughts toward making them work here.
*Self-generate hit concepts – Work creatively to determine genres, trends, ideas that could become the next wave of successful series

•Creates, develops, and oversees quality programming for the network that achieves or exceeds ratings goals.
Business Acumen
•Creates and drives the PAC process proactively, while responding to questions that will arise in the process
•Ensures that proposals meet Ad Sales, ratings, and finance criteria.
•Works as a liaison to ensure deal making between the network and production company
Branding & Programming Strategy
•Serves as the internal and external face of the brand.
•Effectively articulates the brand strategy and ensures that programming is on-brand.
Team Management
•Takes responsibility and initiative within the team.
•Communicates proactively and collaborates to achieve goals.
•Works with a sense of urgency. Seeks advice as needed. Mentors and motivates team members.
Required Education:
REQUIREMENTS
BA or BS
Strategic thinker, good writing, negotiation skills, and executing creative ideas
5 to 7 years of Production/Programming Experience at a cable network
Clear communication of editorial direction
Must be able to articulate network strategy to producers
Must overcome creative differences with producers, while staying on course with network objectives.
Must be able to negotiate budgets to achieve cost efficient programming
Must be versed in changes & trends in this industry to keep History on top
