THE ROLE: Director, HISTORY Consumer Marketing & Paid Media
The Director of Consumer Marketing and Paid Media will work closely with the VP of Consumer Marketing & Media in crafting and implementing marketing strategies and campaigns across owned, paid and emerging media platforms for the HISTORY brand. Responsible for providing strategic direction, paid media recommendations, and project management for execution of all marketing elements.

Director, HISTORY Consumer Marketing & Paid Media:
• Work closely with VP, Consumer Marketing & Media to provide recommendations on how marketing can best support achievement of overall brand goals
• Develop insight-driven strategic marketing briefs that inspire creative and impactful campaigns to make audiences fall in love with our brand and our shows
• Actively seek out and identify opportunities for innovative marketing approaches, partnerships, and cross-department collaboration
• Oversee project management of marketing campaign execution, functioning as liaison between external agencies, creative, and production teams to communicate asset needs, deadlines and ensure creative alignment with overall campaign positioning
• Serve as campaign expert through development of strong, collaborative relationships across all departments, including creative, programming, scheduling, press, social, digital, affiliate marketing, consumer products, ad sales
• Review, track and analyze campaign performance and utilize/communicate findings to help optimize and inform future efforts
• Oversee and manage the professional development of three direct reports
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:
You'll learn to think with both your right & your left brain – marrying creative strategy and ideas with insights and analytics to bring strong campaigns into the market. You'll learn collaboration; how to pull different teams together to produce the best possible work. You'll learn to track progress against goals & to think high level about data and insight (and what they can teach you about what is working).
Beyond this, you'll have a front row seat on how shows come together, and you'll work on a variety of formats (documentaries, scripted dramas, and unscripted shows) each with different ways to make them successful. You'll think about why audiences come to us & how we can make them engage with us more
YOUR STORY:
• 7+ years' experience in consumer marketing and/or media; media agency background preferred
• Experience in the entertainment industry a plus
• College degree
• Ability to blend analytical and creative thinking
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
• Comfortable working under tight/shifting deadlines
