THE ROLE: Director Email Marketing
A+E Networks is seeking an ambitious, data-driven, goal-oriented digital marketer to lead the vision and strategy of the email marketing program. With a specific focus on A&E, HISTORY, and Lifetime brands this person will evaluate the current process, content strategy and cadence of email communication and implement updates to optimize KPIs. Moving forward, this person will work across divisions to identify, implement, and optimize that strategy. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Digital Marketing, this person will strategically partner closely with the CRM team, which builds and deploys all emails and analyzes results.
MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Implement and oversee email communications program, including strategic programming and prioritization, campaign approach, messaging strategy, creative briefing, testing, and audience decisions of high-quality, business-driving, on-brand, and on-time campaigns.
• Build a deeper relationship with our customers through the email channel to drive linear tune-in and additional ancillary company goals.
• Point of contact for all internal email requests.
• Evaluate and update the current process for requesting, scheduling, and delivering assets for email communication.
• Brief in email needs to the Consumer Marketing Creative team to partner on copy and creative for the email program.
• Partner with the CRM team to develop a rigorous testing and execution strategy to continually optimize the email marketing program.
• Work closely and collaboratively with several internal departments (including Research, Digital, Consumer Marketing) to align communication with larger marketing strategy and leverage customer data and segmentation to deliver on KPIs.
• Continually explore competitive best practices – researching industry trends, attending educational seminars and identifying and vetting new vendors and partnerships.
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:
On our team, you'll have the opportunity to hone your data-driven marketing strategy skills. You will be working on a tactic with growth opportunity for A+E Networks. You will collaborate across divisions and grow as an email marketer.
YOUR STORY:
• 6-8 years' experience across all facets of email marketing, including campaign strategy/deployment, messaging, customer segmentation, deliverability, and AB/multivariate testing.
• Ability to own a campaign from start to finish and ensure accuracy and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in complex organizations; able to gain buy-in and marshal resources across teams.
• Proven self-starter who can identify new opportunities, analyze problems to develop tactics/strategies to drive growth, and push projects forward.
• Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills.
• A hunger to learn and follow industry trends to drive innovation and business results.
