More about what you'll do:
• Reporting to the VP of Total Rewards, the Director of Compensation will execute the strategic oversight and guidance for the company's approach to global compensation. This role will assist in the implementation of a streamlined compensation process and practices. The role will require a candidate that has a combination of tactical expertise, relationship-building abilities, and a passion to find ease and simplicity within complexity.
• A successful candidate will be able to think holistically and fully understand the end to end compensation process and how to tailor those processes to the specific needs of the business. The candidate should be able to translate compensation into messaging that the business and employees can understand, as well as work with their peers across the Human Resources function to deliver streamlined, simplified, and equitable compensation practices.
General Employee Compensation
• Assist in the identification and review of compensation programs to identify changes needed for a true best in class compensation approach.
• Lead successful annual compensation planning including but not limited to execution of base salary, bonus, long term incentives, and all related communications and administration.
• Provide recommendations to the business on compensation issues including new hire packages, performance recognition, incentive plans, retention arrangements and overall compensation structures.
• In partnership with Finance, establish compensation budgets and guidelines for all locations, globally.
• Develop relationships with, their peers on the People Team, and the finance and communications teams to effectively tell the value story of all A+E compensation and benefits plans and programs.
Executive Compensation & Governance
• Coordinate and support preparation of executive compensation disclosure information that may be required by the Board of Directors.
Requirements for the Role:
• At least 5 years of experience in compensation, with experience at mid-size (organizations of at least 1500 people) with strong understanding of interdependencies in program and systems design, legal and tax and financial implications of all compensation elements (base, bonus and long term incentives)
• At least 2 years of tactical experience leading large-scale compensation projects with heavy change management requirements.
• At least 2 years of experience establishing and maintaining compensation structures and job leveling
• Completed a full compensation planning cycle in Workday
The Ideal Candidate Will Also:
• International compensation experience is a plus (APAC and UK)
• Be able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders across levels and functions, including Executive Leadership (with support & guidance)
• Be able to operate in a rapidly changing environment with competing priorities; energized by an appropriate sense of urgency.
• Be flexible and comfortable rolling up their sleeves and getting things done in a very small team
• Be comfortable driving results in a hybrid or remote work environment.

CompensationAnnual Pay Range: $157,905 - $196,558Annual Incentive Target: 17.50%
The annual/hourly pay range displayed serves as a good faith estimate of the
minimum and maximum base pay range for this role. Compensation for the role will
be based on a number of different factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills,
competencies, location, and experience. A+E offers a competitive total compensation
