THE ROLE: Digital QC & Delivery Technician
A E Networks is seeking a Digital Quality Control & Delivery technician to perform the quality control requirements relating to the distribution of A E programming content to some of the industry's leading domestic and International partners and media platforms. This includes A&E, History, FYI, Viceland, Lifetime & LMN program distribution for VOD, AVOD, TVOD, SVOD platforms and products; including iTunes, Hulu, Amazon and others.
Flexible work hours a must, including nights, overnights & weekends.
MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Primarily responsible for the pre-delivery technical Q/C of all mezzanine media assets in preparation for digital distribution.
• Responsible for Dynamic Ad Insertion preparation & delivery for Video-On-Demand
• Support the Digital Delivery & QC Manager, relating to the timely and accurate packaging & delivery of all digital media assets and their respective XML metadata for AETN content to our various digital distribution channels.

YOUR STORY: [ BEHAVIORS] (what you need to have)
• 4-year bachelor's degree in TV/Film or Media Related Program and/or 2-4 years related job experience in the Media Industry.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail.
• Strong Knowledge of Broadcast video formats & codecs.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment effectively.
• Experience with XML metadata and video encoding technologies a plus.
• Experience with digital delivery protocols & technologies a plus (FTP, SFTP, Aspera, Signiant)
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Passion for new technology and a desire to work in the entertainment/media industry.
• Positive attitude with a desire to excel in a team-oriented culture.
