Job Description
THE ROLE: Coordinator, Development & Programming A&E
The Programming Coordinator, A&E will be a versatile, multi-talented, entry level role that supports the Senior Executive team within the Programming organization.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Coordinate with production companies to track deliverables, invoices, contracts, and other production-related paperwork for both development and series projects, ensuring timely submission and processing.
• Monitor internal systems and track payments tied to production deliverables, partnering closely with Program Accounting to ensure timely processing and resolution of outstanding items.
• Attend weekly production meetings for assigned series.
• Maintain project trackers, status reports, and departmental documentation to ensure visibility into key development and production milestones.
• Support the Senior Executive team by scheduling meetings, calls, business trips, team brainstorms, and managing expenses.
• Prepare new series order programming documents (PACs) as assigned, and track the progress of this paperwork on behalf of your executive(s).
• Field miscellaneous requests from production companies and internal departments.
• Primary contact between programming and all other AETN departments for various requests.
• Aid Executive Producers on series and development projects as assigned.
• Participate in development meetings by taking detailed notes, preparing meeting agendas, contributing to discussions around project viability, and sharing creative ideas and feedback.
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:
On our team, you'll have the opportunity to be immersed in programming and production. You will experience the life cycle of television series from pitch to development, greenlight to series, and full-scale production. Upon launch of the program, you will have an active hand in the 360 degrees that surrounds the success of A&E Programming – from Press, to Marketing, Social and Digital – this is a chance to experience all the moving pieces that go into producing content for a television network.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 1-2 years' post college experience, in the TV business preferred with an entertainment company and/or agency experience.
• BA / BS in related field is preferred.
• Technical Skills: Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required; experience with Airtable, AI-powered productivity tools, and other project management or workflow platforms is a plus.
• Must be technologically savvy, comfortable learning new systems quickly, and able to adapt to evolving internal tools and processes.
• Familiarity with photo, video, and presentation editing tools, including Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut, Premiere Pro, or similar platforms, is preferred but not required.
• Strong multi-tasking skills needed and must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Identifies issues and proactively recommends solutions to problems and communicates to leader
• Must have the ability to work independently, efficiently and be able to meet deadlines
• Knowledge of or interest in television development, production, and unscripted programming preferred.
• Team player is a must
• Embraces and incorporates different viewpoints and perspectives
Salary/Benefits
$28.99 - $32.62 /hour USD
Compensation for the role will be based on a number of different factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, location, and experience.
