THE DIVISION'S STORY Production Operations and Engineering consists of a wide range of media centric roles. We are responsible for managing the entire life cycle of A E's programming. This is where we produce, transform, broadcast, and distribute content as well as run the tech infrastructure for the Media Supply chain. THE ROLE: Designer/Animator (Temporary) A E Networks Production Operations is looking for an experienced Motion Designer/Animator to join our remote team. MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO: The ideal person will be creative, innovative, and have a versatile, collaborative approach to all motion, type, and logo design projects. They will create compelling, fresh design ideas and typography solutions that will help brand our Networks. They will need to be a self-starter, able to problem solve both technical and creative challenges, with the ability to find and explore solutions as the project progresses. The ideal candidate would be someone who considers themselves both an animator and a designer who takes ownership for the projects they work on and have a productive and positive attitude with clients and fellow design team members. They must be comfortable working under tight deadlines and are extremely organized with project files/ folder naming, and adept in sharing projects/toolkits with fellow designers. YOUR STORY: Must-Have Skills: Highly organized – If you do not consider yourself to be highly organized, please do not apply Excellent communicator – Able to communicate creative ideas within a collaborative environment, comfortable pitching Minimum 5 years of experience with a refined eye for design Fluent in Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Media Encoder Must be able to take design project from concept to completion Extensive knowledge of type design/layout, typography, and font procurement Advanced creative and technical capabilities in compositing using AE Basic AE script knowledge and experience utilizing major plug-ins Experience in crafting After Effect Tool Kits to be shared with others for versioning work Basic understanding of broadcast graphics terminology, broadcast design and post-production processes Basic understanding of motion tracking and rotoscoping Additional Skills: Proficient in Cinema 4D Experience with 3D Modeling, 3D Animation, and 3D Render systems (Redshift / Arnold) Advanced creative and technical capabilities in visual effects using either AE or C4D Knowledge of Essential Graphics within After Effects A background in Color Correction is a plus (DaVinci and After Effects) Experience with Zoom and/or Outlook's Teams communication formats Please include a link to you Reel with your application - either within your resume or cover letter Please note project assignment associates are engaged to provide service to A E Networks on a temporary basis in connection with a specific project.
