The Role: Creative Director, Motion Design MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO: Reporting to the VP of Creative Design in Brand Marketing, the Creative Director will lead, manage, and scale the growing team of motion designers for all A E brands, including HISTORY, A&E, and Lifetime/LMN. The Creative Director will develop inspiring concepts and designs across multiple brands and motivate a broad creative team with a management approach that embraces innovation, teamwork, collaboration, and mentorship. Responsibilities: The candidate will collaborate closely with multiple cross-functional teams, including on-air, off-air print, and digital, to lead creative concept development for 360 Design initiatives to ensure design consistency across all brands and platforms. Leads creative development and provides art direction for motion design across all A&E brands. Oversee creative development of on-air motion design, ensuring all goals are met, and creative quality meets a best-in-class standard. Be highly communicative and responsive both within your team and across the company while managing a large volume of projects. Lead and mentor a small but tight motion design team to develop best-in-class work. Research new talent and resources, including designers and other outside creatives. Drive and oversee the creative vision with internal team and outside design agencies and inspire creative partners through clear and detailed communication. Keep abreast of new media and current design trends. Manage team's project workflow to ensure to meet project deadlines and budgets. YOUR STORY Qualification: A minimum of 10 years of design experience within an entertainment Industry or design agency is required. A minimum of 5 years of experience successfully leading a creative team. Possess strong decision-making skills and can operate with autonomy and discretion. Strong 2D/3D motion design and typography sense is a must. Possess knowledge of all aspects of design, print and digital production, and post-production. Have an expert working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including After Effects and industry-standard programs and software. Have a working knowledge of Cinema 4D, Maya, and/or any other 3D application Have a working knowledge of industry-standard editorial programs and software, such as AVID, Adobe Premiere, and MOGRT, and understand the operational dynamics between motion design and editing. Experience executing and participating in the planning of live action and photo shoots. Familiarity with creative specs across social and media platforms is a plus. Go-getter with initiative, follow-through, resourcefulness, and can-do attitude. Willingness to be hands-on, when necessary. Have outstanding organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and juggle multiple tasks. Detail oriented with strong project management skills and problem solver. Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to collaborate with different teams in various locations. Knowledge and interest in of pop culture, entertainment, social media and design trends. BFA degree desired.
