THE ROLE: Manager, Program Scheduling for Lifetime Movie Network (LMN)
MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Reports to the Director of Scheduling, Lifetime Movie Network (LMN), and will focus on increasing Lifetime Movie Network viewership by managing the scheduling of programs to maximize ratings and meet business goals.
• Help develop strategic recommendations and maintain supporting documentation for long-range program planning
• Support Director & SVP in compiling decks and presentations for senior management
• Assist of all aspects of building and launching programming stunts (ideation, development and execution among internal teams).
• Help create, track, and manage financial greenlight process for LMN assets.
• Screen a high volume of potential acquisitions and evaluate along with Strategy team to determine suitability for acquisition
• Work with internal Lifetime Movie Club SVOD platform partners on monitoring cross-channel usage
• Maintain weekly programming grids with both a reactive and proactive point of view, and recommending schedule changes to increase ratings
• Work closely with our A+E Networks Operations facility and Traffic groups to ensure timely schedule changes are accepted and deployed
• Responsible for performing heavy data-entry of all long form programming assets in scheduling database; including creating episodic information, originating and proofing schedule and pulling reports
• Pull Nielsen research reports and analyses for the team on an ongoing basis
• Maintain and update accurate metadata in the on-air scheduling system
• Disseminate program schedule changes to the company based on quickly-changing business needs and priorities
• Maintain regular contact with Press team on listings to ensure accuracy
• Research and track information regarding competitive network schedules
YOUR STORY:
• Bachelor's degree in communications, film, television or related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience working in Programming, Content Strategy or Research Analysis
• Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Excellent attention to detail, strong communication & organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and adapt quickly
Desired Characteristics
• Content Strategy experience on linear or nonlinear platforms is highly desired
• Knowledge of television programming and the pop culture competitive landscape
• Strong interest in data analysis and applying data-based solutions a plus
• Enthusiasm for movies and/or made-for-television movies a plus
