Associate, Production Management (Finance) Temporary - Remote
Contractors Currently, all staff and non-staff are working remotely except for select roles that have an in office requirement. THE DIVISION'S STORY Most people don't realize the importance of the Finance department in keeping our business operating without hitches and delays. That's probably because we oversee many of the more quietly glamorous, back-office functions that drive our bottom line. We not only forecast, build and manage budgets, we also collect and analyze important data that helps leadership make the best decisions. All of this sounds exciting to you because you love numbers and spreadsheets, and especially love great entertainment. THE ROLE: Associate, Production Management (Finance)- Temporary This temp role will support the network Programming departments Finance. This temp role will input and oversee data from budgets and related materials to translate into presentation documents to make critical financial decisions. This position will report into the Manager, Production Management. MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO: Production Database creation and coordination Import production budgeting Software data into the A E budget analysis database Translate budget line items to A E chart of accounts Budget review: First review of production budget to identify key highlights and discrepancies to escalate to Production Management team Additional responsibilities aligned with the budget process: Cost per hour benchmarking Tax credit opportunities Assess Production Company volume Budget Assumptions Review of Creative Materials Provide and create and categorization to compare production against similar productions Budget Analysis/data entry Prepare financial analysis from the internal database for each new production Analysis will include: Modeling and measuring Identify variances and key differences and outliers (format fees) Create budget staffing modeling Input data into team reports Partner in creation of presentation materials for Senior Leadership Team Coordination Organize weekly team meeting with team agendas and priorities Ongoing tracking of production progress and follow up; track against goal dates and escalate outstanding/unresolved issues Maintain active team project report (grid) Execute re-design of E-filing system PDF budgets, MM budgets, calendars, production schedules, correspondence, cost reports, sizzles, decks, contracts, tax certificates, reports Research emerging technologies and industry processes to enhance performance and productivity WHAT YOU'LL LEARN: On our team, you'll have the opportunity to play a vital role in budget analysis on television purchases. YOUR STORY: Minimum of 1-2 years of related experience Production office and set experience preferred Strong Excel skills required Familiarity with a variety of software applications and budgeting systems Problem-solver with strong analytical skills and a key attention to detail Strong organization and communication skills Ability to organize and manage time to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy Media & Entertainment background preferred Experience in creating presentation materials to present complex data Artistic experience a plus BA/BS preferred
