Write Act Rep is dedicated to the development of original plays, lesser known or rarely seen works by established writers, adaptations of classical-themed materials and new musicals. Please note: this internship is UNPAID and is local to NYC, however we also have UNPAID Los Angeles opportunities, we can offer college credit to those who are still in school for a spring or summer internship. Benefits for professionals and post graduates include on-the job training and placement in potential paying jobs associated with our company on multiple platforms. We work on producing off-Broadway shows and are in development for many other projects with co-operative partnerships with entertainment related companies.

Work Weird Hours - Early Morning, Late nights, Weekends
SHOW UP TO WORK ON TIME
Have a sense of humor.
Hit the ground running.
Follow instructions well.
Have strong communication skills.
Take initiative to assist wherever needed.
Non-political agenda. This is not that company.
Willing to get their hands dirty, paint on their work clothes, and participate in physical activity moving sets, props, costumes, lighting and sound gear.

Ideal candidates should be either currently enrolled in a college/university program (school credit available) or a recent graduate. However, all ages are welcome, even if just to volunteer.
If you have the means and are still interested in working part-time on a volunteer basis with our staff, it will be worth your while - we promise to teach you how much work is really involved in putting a production together.
We are looking for our new colleagues to begin immediately, with opportunities extending into the summer and beyond. Be prepared to work between 15-20 hours each week; we will work with you to set your schedule but this will include ODD hours as this is theatre and possible film work.
We can take care of some work related travel and meals as we can with group work projects. Depending on skill, desire and your future schooling, other paid work opportunities will be available throughout the year and be opened up to these interns first.
If you are not a resident of NYC or commuter or not able to find your own board/housing, please do not apply.
Humorous and heartfelt responses are especially appreciated. We want to get to know you, your experiences, and what you hope to get out of your time with our company!
Orientations beginning week of January - as our first rehearsals for our next 2 off-Broadway projects beginning immediately at St. Luke's Theatre.
Only the hearty and ready to work need apply - with a sense of style!
