Department Description: Big Beat functions as the dance /electronic sub-label under the Atlantic umbrella and is the primary dance/electronic music label for WMG in the United States. The roster includes full 360 artist deals as well as single deal album artists and upstream artists from WMG affiliates. The label also signs one-off single track deals.
High Level Job Description:
To act as the secondary contact to the General Manager at Big Beat Records and to the Head of A&R for Big Beat Records handling much of the day-to-day label and A&R duties as well as assisting with all schedules, promotional activities, events, expenses, and budgets.
Detailed Job Description/ Responsibilities:
• Schedule/calendar management for the GM and Head of A&R as well as providing general support for label marketing & A&R
• Expense reporting & PO creation for GM and for Blake Foster Head of A&R and for general label expenses
• Basic office administration for the label and A&R
• Intern management for the label and A&R
• General support to the A&R staff including studio session scheduling
• A&R scouting
Required Competencies/Skills:
•
Above average knowledge of the Electronic music genre and industry
•
Above average knowledge of social networking, music streaming and video platforms
•
Average or above average experience with all basic Office and Music programs (Word, Excel, iTunes, etc.)
Special Requirements/Preferences:
• Personal relationships and good rapport within the Electronic Music industry contacts
• Willingness and ability to attend late night shows
Education Required:
•
High School, BA or BA in progress a plus
