We are seeking an Assistant Production Manager to support a project in Warner Bros. Animation. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and tracking artwork and approvals, report progress to Production Manager and Associate Producer, and organize all pre-production artwork for shipping to overseas studios.
What part will you play?
• Completes script and storyboard breakdowns for models, props, and background designs.
• Allocates design work to Artists and follows through to completion and assigns appropriate due dates based on established production schedule.
• Coordinates and tracks the progress of assigned artwork and flags potential problems and delays for the production team.
• Organizes and maintains systems for monitoring production flow of assigned artwork: sets up files, keeps a log of start/complete dates of assignments, labels materials.
• Labels and adds copyright, scene number, and description to all color backgrounds.
• Color models - responsible for supplying color stylists with model packs and immediately updating those packs when changes or additions are made.
• Coordinates the preparation of pre-production materials for shipping and tracks Director and Producer approvals.
• Scans all artwork to input into a FileMaker Pro database and prepares a weekly status report for pre-production meetings.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
What do we require from you?
• Trade school degree or certification, Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience required.
• 2 - 4 years previous work experience in Animation production or equivalent production experience.
• Strong knowledge of Animation workflow processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and FileMaker Pro are required.
• Proficiency with Photoshop, Toon Boom, and Adobe Acrobat are preferred.
• Ability to adapt to changing software applications.
• Communicates effectively and tactfully with production team including Producers, Directors, and Artists.
• Ability to organize, schedule, and delegate work effectively.
• Ability to be pro-active and an effective problem solver while leading with a positive attitude and encouraging collaboration.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills to balance priorities amid the pressures of busy deadline-driven production.
