Job Title: Production Manager (Maternity Cover)
Location: Camden
Department: Production & Programme Management
Reporting to: Director of Production & Programme Management
Contract: Fixed Term
Are you experienced in production management? Do you want to work for one of the UK's leading television companies?
Key Responsibilities:
• Review and negotiate production budgets and schedules with producers & suppliers, ensuring value for money and assessing whether a production budget and schedule is appropriate for each production
• Negotiate all rights and revenues for each commission in line with the channel licence
• Make sure that each production has the correct level of insurance and E&O in line with funding and production activity
• Liaising with Channel 5 departments to ensure excellent communication and efficiencies
• Working with the DOP on company / departmental systems and workflow, inputting into change management of systems from creation to implementation
• Managing the smooth running of payments for suppliers, approving invoices and managing the internal invoice system
• Manage the end to end production process from intention to commission through to delivery and final costs
• Liaise with that the Business & Legal Affairs department to ensure that the contracts are issued and signed in a timely manor
• Ability to managing multiple productions at various stages of the production cycle and ensure that system data is up to date in order to reflect this
• Identify new ways of working and contribute to effective implementation
• Troubleshoot any issues that arise from producers and suppliers
Required Skills
and Experience:
• Solid proven experience in production management
• Knowledge of programme production is essential
• Experience in budgeting, cashflow, cost analysis and rights negotiation
• Excellent communication skills
• Initiative and problem solving skills
• Diplomacy and sensitivity
• Stringent attention to detail
• Knowledge of production insurance & health & safety of productions
• Positive energy and a passion for production management
• Excellent IT skills, particularly with Excel, Power Point & Outlook
