Full Time Job
Provides high level administrative support to SVP. Will have regular contact with senior executives within the company and externally within the music business. Requires advanced organizational skills, pro-active mentality and a high level of confidentiality; demonstrated professionalism and excellent communication skills. Will serve as a back-up AE to the AE of Marketing, Creative & Operations and will assist the GM TVLand & CMT as needed. Will provide support for administrative tasks to other Executives as needed.
Basic Qualifications
• A bachelor's degree in Business, Communications or Broadcasting is highly preferred; or equivalent work experience related to this position.
• 2 - 5 years of experience functioning in an administrative capacity, supporting senior level executives
• Able to effectively schedule the Senior Executive’s meetings internally and externally with various organizations with which he is associated
• Able to handle stressful situations with composure and uses good judgment when assessing situations that come up
• Has a pro-active mentality, considers questions that might get asked and gathers that information in advance of the questions; takes initiative and action to make decisions that can be handled at this level without the Senior Executive’s involvement
• Creates systems and processes to maximize departmental efficiency
• Demonstrated ability to be discrete with highly sensitive information and able to determine who/what has priority, with a sense of urgency regarding matters that need to be escalated.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills, the ability to follow through and complete multiple projects within specific time frames and guidelines.
• Strong proficiency with common office software, including the Microsoft Office Suite.; must be able to learn and become proficient with all Viacom customized systems, including the SAP system used for processing expense reports.
• Effective communicator, both written and verbal
• Ability to work comfortably with people at all levels within the organization and ability to build and maintain great relationships with those persons this role will interact with regularly
• Must have experience making travel arrangements for an executive, creating travel itineraries, and experience reconciling expense reports after the trip is completed.
• Reliable Team player who exhibits flexibility and commitment to the department’s objectives and goals
Additional Qualifications
• Must be able to work outside of Senior Executive normal work schedule as needed, and often with little notice
• Strong interest in Television broadcasting and willingness to learn this business; prior experience or exposure to the television industry is highly preferred
