Job Description:
The Viacom Velocity West Coast Marketing Department Freelance Coordinator will be responsible for assisting the West Coast Marketing and Branded Content Team on sponsorship programs for MTV, Vh1, Comedy Central and Spike. This person will report to west coast based Integrated Marketing Director working on non-studio west coast based business and assisting team Senior Directors and Directors on various projects including campaign tracking, show point support, award submissions, and other administrative duties.
Responsibilities Include:
• Work closely with Integrated Marketing Director to create account specific pitch materials
• Brainstorm creative solutions for RFPs from west coast clients
• Assist in the execution of west coast based projects
• Create campaign wrap reports for all executed west coast based projects
• Review scripts and cuts for west coast shows and flag brand mentions or visuals
• Maintain pitch grids for outstanding pitches and confirmed programs
• Attend bi-weekly interdepartmentals and update the team as necessary
• Accompany Director to in-show integrations shot in Los Angeles as needed
• Spearhead tracking and creation of all west coast team campaign reporting
• Create/adjust budget codes to reflect paid acquisition (both IM funded and VCN)
• Facilitate submissions, trackers, and result updates to Velocity Operations team
• Monitor internal research tool (iSpot) for all competitive creative to distribute and among the group (studio and west coast accounts)??
• Disseminate relevant internal and external research reports, presentations, etc as they relate to the business
• Aggregate info as needed for strategy and recommendation support to senior management
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Television, Film, Marketing, Communications, or similar preferred
• 1-2 years of professional experience
Additional Qualifications:
• Interest in and passion for entertainment, media, emerging platforms/media apps/tech, and client service
• Organized, detail-oriented, ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Strong interpersonal skills, outstanding written and oral communications skills as required to interface across multiple levels and groups
• Proactive self-starter and team player, ability to learn quickly, be flexible and adapt to changing industry and organizational landscape
• Ability to conduct research and compile data to create briefs and charts utilized by senior management
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel
• Basic Illustrator, Photoshop, and Keynote skills preferred
