Search for Senior Entertainment Accounting Manager - CPA jobs in Los Angeles-CA
This position requires a highly qualified CPA with management skills and experience working within the music entertainment industry.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES & DELIVERABLES FOR THIS POSITION INCLUDE:
-Maintenance and adherence to business management related policies and procedures.
-Review and summarization of all Client agreements
-Assist Touring Director with Client Risk Assessment and Financial Planning.
-First Review of day-to-day financial management performed by Tour Support Staff Accountants: bill pay, revenue tracking, and client specific accounting and reporting.
-Preparation of quarterly financial statements.
-First review of Client communications (cash reports, weekly updates).
-Preparation of timely and accurate commissions, calculations and Payments.
-Assist Touring Director with new client on-boarding procedures.
-Preparation of journal entries (monthly, recurring, and payroll).
-Assist Touring Director with tax work paper prep; liaison with Tax Manager to provide necessary data for the completion of all tax processes.
-Preparation and submission of checks for approval.
-Training and development of Tour Support Staff Accountants.
SKILL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :
-BS in Accounting, Finance, or Economics with strong academic record
-Must have active CPA License (preferably in Tennessee or California)
-Experience using QuickBooks and Excel
-8+ years experience within a relative position with managerial responsibilities
-Must have experience within a business management firm and/or tour production company
