This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Publicity Manager to join a leading marketing agency, working with some of the world's top entertainment brands.
You will work with some of the biggest companies in the entertainment industries, as part of the team who devise and implement effective publicity campaigns for their releases and product launches. The successful candidate will have strong PR experience particularly within film, have extensive contacts across all US media, love pitching in stories and be an expert at creating and developing publicity strategies. You'll need to be creative, hard-working, detail orientated and calm under pressure.
The role
We are looking for a creative and experienced Publicity Manager to join our rapidly growing team. Your responsibilities will include:
Acting as a leader within the PR team to manage projects and support the Senior Publicity Manager with team management.
Managing performance reviews for team members
Preparing client proposals
Developing and executing comprehensive publicity strategies which ensure the best level of coverage, while maintaining the highest levels of excellence
Devising and actioning innovative and realistically achievable ways to publicize campaigns including promotions, talent junkets, editorial, sweepstakes and social campaign activity
Use social data and analysis tools to set and analyze insights and targets
Researching and sharing new insights and knowledge of the media and entertainment landscape with clients and the internal team
Building positive and productive relationships with clients, vendors and media contacts
Ensuring client satisfaction and taking a lead role in managing campaign expectations as well as communicating key successes
Assisting senior management with business development opportunities
Desired Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role you will have the following experience and skills:
5+ years of relevant experience
Extensive media contacts in the US and ideally Canada
Proven client relations skills
Ability to lead, challenge and encourage a team
Demonstrate an understanding of client budgeting
Excellent communication, organization and presentation skills
Conscientious timekeeping and effective time management
Knowledge of the film and television industry is preferred
Love of new technology and passion for following developing media trends
