We are seeking experienced Freelance Producers to oversee and manage events ranging from small-scale $75k bus tours to large festivals and tours. We are a busy DTLA-based firm that emphasizes productivity and teamwork above all. Our ideal candidate would have experience in the following areas:
- Contract with and manage vendors (including venue, scenic, AV, printers, caterers, graphic designers, developers, etc.)
- Track and manage project budgets
- Conduct site visits and onsite meetings with vendors (i.e. catering tasting, scenic, AV, etc)
- Actively participate in event ideation and create client creative project proposals
- Review and edit each project proposal to ensure integrity and feasibility of creative concepts
- Effectively communicate client needs and wishes to team, including creative and technical directors
- Lead weekly/monthly client calls
- Close out all projects as required
- Oversee and manage production coordinators and assistants
- Participate in new business proposals
- Report directly to Executive Producers/Head of Production
Requirements:
- Excellent proofreading and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent interpersonal skills both in person and by phone, with high level of professionalism
- Ability to accomplish projects with little supervision
- Bachelor's degree required
- At least 3 years experience in event management
- Proficient using the latest versions of Keynote and Microsoft package; SketchUp and Photoshop/InDesign skills a plus
- Candidate must be Los Angeles based only
