The Walt Disney Studio's Recruiter will be expected to demonstrate recruiting best practices to support our world-class talent acquisition efforts. In alignment with our talent acquisition vision, day-day activities will entail strategic staffing development, and impeccable recruitment execution to achieve an effective service delivery model. Responsibilities
• Success in building trusted and collaborative relationships with senior management and hiring managers and be viewed as a value-added resource and partner understanding the local talent market(s) including where to source great candidates, compensation data and market rates, as well as industry/competitor insights
• Drive the development and implementation of comprehensive sourcing and recruitment strategies for clients such as Theatrical Marketing, Studio Operations, Disney Home Entertainment Distribution, Creative Production / Development, Disney Theatrical Group and Disney Music Group
• Project manage the day to day recruitment activities through the development and execution of full life cycle recruitment plans; ensuring the candidate, client, and team experiences are met with exceptional service delivery
• Demonstrate ability to attract, influence and convert hard to find passive talent through your understanding of the business and employee value proposition
• Generate qualified candidate pools through sourcing efforts including internet, alternative sourcing, partnerships with diversity & female organizations (MLT, Women in Film, etc). Sourcing tools include but not limited to: LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and industry specific or diversity-oriented sites & blogs
• Collaborate with clients and HR partners to develop a strong understanding of department culture, business strategy and talent profiles to deliver on the hiring needs of the business
• Partner with hiring managers to align priorities, understand the role and candidate requirements while setting and managing expectations
• Conduct in-depth screens and assess potential candidates for level of interest, qualifications, and compensation
• Utilize recruitment tools such as applicant tracking system and talent relationship management tools for workflow tracking, communication and management of active and passive candidates, and update weekly recruiting activity reports
• Partner with Talent Acquisition Employment Branding / Marketing teams to create campaigns to attract passive talent and build talent communities within the film, music and stage play industries
• Attend and represent The Walt Disney Studios in various entertainment and / or diversity panels and speaking engagements
• Manage high volume of executive referrals, both for open and future opportunities across the Studio and broader Walt Disney Company, including career conversations, resume writing tips, industry knowledge share, etc.
• Focus on Disney Intern conversions to fulltime hires, while collaborating closely with the Disney Campus Recruitment team
• Understand & articulate the business case for diversity through the hiring process, while ensuring compliance with EEO/Diversity policies; partner with HRBP to ensure hiring manager has awareness of the purpose and benefits of diverse hiring and slating
Basic Qualifications
• Track record of successfully identifying and qualifying exceptional talent
• 3 years of recruiting experience within the entertainment / film industry working on creative roles (ie. film or TV marketing, distribution, sales, and production; and/or music or live stage play)
• A ''no job is too big or small'' attitude with the personality and mindset to find the right candidates for our ever-growing business
• Ability to read people and know what motivates them and where they are on their ''career journey'', successfully using this skill to match the right person for the right job at the right price
• Exceptional ability to deliver quality results in a very fast paced environment
• Working knowledge of the tools of the trade: resume databases, leveraging social networking sites, sourcing tools and spreadsheets, cold calling, and networking
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, ability to multi-task, excellent problem solving skills, detail oriented and results oriented
• Strong business acumen to be able to comprehend business needs and structure
• Excellent consultative skills and proven success developing strong, collaborative relationships across multiple departments and levels
• Top notch verbal and written communication skills (being a successful recruiter requires being a great marketer)
• Knowledge of enterprise-wide applicant tracking systems and proven experience working in a results measured environment
Preferred Qualifications
• Preferred experience within another major Studio, talent agency or film production company
