Disney/ABC Home Entertainment and Television Distribution (HE/TD) is a sales-based organization overseeing distribution for all TWDC filmed content beyond the theatrical window, including Disney Live Action, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm and Disneynature. Additionally the team licenses television content for the Disney ABC Television Group, including ABC Studios, ABC Entertainment, WABC, ABC News, Freeform, Lincoln Square Studios, Disney Channel, Disney XD and Disney Junior. In collaboration with key stakeholders, the HE/TD team formulates marketing and sales strategies, as it relates to the pricing, windowing, licensing and distribution of Disney's content throughout their lifecycles, including development of innovative models and tactics for monetizing and maximizing revenue in a rapidly changing media landscape.
Objective:
The Manager, International Digital & Physical Sales is a key support role for our International In-home Transactional business. Reporting to the Director, the Manager will spend his/her time providing key support on transactional sales strategy and initiatives around DVD/Blu-ray, EHV and VOD business, and the digital account management function. This role requires superior strategic, organizational, and team leadership skills. As well as an ability to collaborate effectively with multiple levels of management- from senior executives to local sales managers in the field.
Responsibilities
• Support Director, International Sales to:
• Identify and implement sales initiatives to grow International In-Home transactional business (physical, digital) in partnership with int'l sales teams
• Provide strategic guidance to int'l sales teams on business models, pricing, windowing, promotion tactics, etc.
• Partner with int'l sales teams on their deal negotiations with global and local clients
• Lead and support new market launches and other key initiatives of global clients
• Provide sales analytics to key Studio executives and int'l teams by tracking and analyzing sales performance of key titles
• Collaborate and partner with other teams such as Product Management, Marketing, and Strategic Planning to gain input and perspectives for key initiatives
• Support the team's sales strategy efforts by focusing on Five Year Planning process and AOP planning to identify new opportunity areas
• Stay current on industry and market trends to update local and international sales team
• Ad-hoc project support as needed
Basic Qualifications
• International exposure & interest
• Strong financial analytical skills
• Experience and proven track record with a premier media & entertainment company OR management consultancy OR investment banking
• Highly collaborative and team-oriented work style, with well-developed communication skills
• Ability to prioritize activities, manage timelines, and interface with diverse group of stakeholders
• Ability to take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion
Preferred Qualifications
• Strategy and analytical experience
• Content distribution experience
• Familiarity with working in or with large organizations
Required Education
• Bachelor's degree plus 4 years' experience and/or MBA plus 2 years' experience
