Disney/ABC Home Entertainment and Television Distribution (HE/TD) is a sales-based organization overseeing distribution for all TWDC filmed content beyond the theatrical window, including Disney Live Action, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm and Disneynature. Additionally the team licenses television content for the Disney ABC Television Group, including ABC Studios, ABC Entertainment, WABC, ABC News, Freeform, Lincoln Square Studios, Disney Channel, Disney XD and Disney Junior. In collaboration with key stakeholders, the HE/TD team formulates marketing and sales strategies, as it relates to the pricing, windowing, licensing and distribution of Disney's content throughout their lifecycles, including development of innovative models and tactics for monetizing and maximizing revenue in a rapidly changing media landscape.
The Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment and Television Distribution (HETVD) team has an opening for a Vice President, Marketing & Operations, Disney Movie Club. The Vice President is responsible for driving the strategy and rejuvenation of the Disney Movie Club to grow membership and increase purchasing activities. The VP has P&L responsibility for Disney Movie Club and will directly influence the strategic development of the business. Additionally, the Vice President will integrate the consumer outreach strategies of the Disney Movie Club to drive more consumer traffic and participation of consumers. The departmental activities and objectives will work in collaboration with the Insights and Analytics organization to effectively target and engage active, passive, new, and existing Disney consumers. The executive will lead a dynamic team of individuals and drive acquisition, membership, fulfillment and, distribution growth initiatives.
Responsibilities
• Oversee the development of strategies that generate incremental spend, drive customer loyalty, and increase sales across the Disney Movie Club
• Manage the P&L of Disney Movie Club, monitoring the net income after expenses and influencing how resources are allocated
• Evaluate and make recommendations on opportunities to expand the program to new DMC customers while re-engaging existing inactive customers
• Drive a holistic customer approach that leverages multiple Disney direct-to-consumer organizations
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Insights and Analytics, Digital Marketing, Product Management, Catalog and Retail Strategy, and Sales to maximize customer acquisition, awareness and engagement
• Oversee the educational methodologies for new members value proposition and benefits at sign-up and throughout the member life-cycle
• Drive existing partnership strategy to maintain a high level of engagement
• Partner closely with Insights and Analytics to forecast and analyze key customer statistics and trends
• Develop new program ideas and member enhancements as well as ensure business requirements and use cases are documented
Basic Qualifications
• 10 years of direct-to-consumer engagement experience, including strategy, marketing, operations and P&L responsibilities
• Exceptional planning, communication, and reporting skills
• Collaboration across multiple business functions including Marketing, Insights and Analytics, Product Strategy, Business Development, and Finance
• Ability to remain flexible to changing business needs and react to those needs in a professional positive manner
• Proven leader of e-commerce business
• Understanding of new technologies, platforms, and services
• Ability to apply analytical thinking and create strategic plans
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in business or related field required
