We are seeking a Trade Marketing Manager to lead all Disney branded and LucasFilm theatrical releases across the UK. This role will be based in the Hammersmith head office on a permanent basis.
Overall Purpose of the Role:
• Define longterm brand strategies and objectives with Exhibition for the Disney Live Action, Disney Feature Animation and LucasFilm brands, working closely with Brand leads and Studios Insights team to develop and future proof the brands in line with brand studies and the overarching Studios brand-led approach
• Define brand-driven title-by-title strategy and objectives; focus on digital-first approach; and develop industry-leading, data-driven solutions.
• Establish and maintain high-level relationships with exhibitor marketing leads.
• Work with co-manager for Trade (Pixar & Marvel), UK Studio Marketing and Sales leads to create and implement integrated marketing initiatives.
• Contribute in achieving title-by-title fiscal financial targets.
• Define overarching Trade Marketing strategy with focus on a digital-first approach and brand-led opportunities.
• Work hand-in-hand with UK Studio Marketing Managers and brand leads to develop title specific Trade Marketing plans.
• Work with Digital and Media & Insights teams to apply strategic learnings and align with overarching objectives.
• Connect with UK Sales team to ensure consistent messaging in all comms with Exhibition and define shared goals between Sales and Marketing.
You will be responsible for:
Exhibitor relations:
• Build and own relationships with key marketing stakeholders at all major exhibitors and educate (where necessary) regarding Studio Marketing approach, brand studies and thinking.
• Work with exhibitor marketing leads to develop forward-thinking, data-driven solutions driving ticket sales and seek out long-term partnership opportunities.
• Strive to improve connection between exhibitor booking and marketing departments.
• Liaise with UK Studio Marketing Managers to define trade presentation and/or roadshow needs and lead presenting efforts.
Campaign Management:
• Work hand-in-hand with UK Studio Marketing Managers to design and execute industry-leading Trade Marketing campaigns in line with Studio strategy – including trailering & content needs, in-theatre display, exhibitor media, digital & social, CRM, promotions & partnerships and research (exit polls, resistance studies, etc).
• Drive innovation and creative marketing solutions throughout.
• Coordinate with relevant Studio Marketing and Franchise support teams, TWDC lines of business and external agencies.
• Plug directly in with Digital Marketing team to support on key objectives in social, CRM and performance marketing.
• Maintain Trade Marketing campaign budgets, seeking out cost efficiencies, monitoring actual expenditure versus plan and evaluating performance against marketing objectives.
• Input into UK campaign reports and presentations to feed into UK, EMEA and global reviews.
Budget Management:
• Propose and agree Trade Marketing investment levels with UK Studio Marketing Managers.
Skills
required:
• Previous trade marketing experience within a Studio is essential
• Project management: organisation, efficiency, time management & attention to detail
• Knowledge of UK theatrical market place and Exhibition
• Strong presentation & communication skills
• Computer literate especially advanced PowerPoint / Excel / Keynote
