The following information outlines the responsibilities of the Director of Worldwide Publicity for SPHE.

Responsibilities:

Develop, implement and support worldwide strategic publicity campaigns for packaged media releases on all distribution platforms (DVD, Blu-ray, digital). This includes product from Sony Pictures Entertainment, Sony Pictures Classics, Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions, Affirm, as well as our third party distribution partners (FilmDistict, CBS Films, ad-hoc acquisitions).

o Includes writing press releases, managing media inquiries and requests

Oversee PR firms in the development of publicity strategies and events related to our products
Oversee budget matters regarding assigned projects and agency billings (some in excess of $1 million)
Develop and implement strong strategic publicity campaigns for our digital (UV, EST, etc.) and new technologies (Blu-ray, 3D) initiatives worldwide
Insure strong ties with top tier media related to our businesses
Interact with senior executives in the development of corporate communication strategies
Develop and plan special events (all-hands meetings, launch parties, press conferences, etc.)


Reporting structure:


50% Report to Exec Director for all product publicity worldwide
50% Report to SVP for new technologies and corp comm. matters


Core Responsibilities:


Oversee worldwide publicity campaigns for all SPHE release product on all distribution platforms
Develop and execute strategic publicity campaigns for new technologies worldwide (Blu-Ray, 3D. UV, digital distribution platforms)
Corporate communications and events (manage media inquiries and requests, schedule and staff senior executive interviews, produce events)

Strong writing skills


Strong verbal, writing and personal communication skills
Poised and confident demeanor to speak to senior execs and top tier media
Organized
Able to work under pressure, prioritize and multi-task
No attitude with a strong sense of humor

Experience Required:
Minimum 4 years of publicity experience in digital as well as physical product publicity is required
Bachelor's degree is required
