Mgr Info Sec - Security Awareness & Training Program
This position is responsible for developing and delivering a framework, strategies and plans for the Information Security Training and Awareness Program to raise the general level of awareness of information security and deeper training for job related security competencies in critical functions. The role will work closely with the Sony Corporation Global Information Security & Privacy (GIS&P) team, SPE corporate functions such as People & Organization, Corporate Communications, Legal Compliance, Information Technology and business unit personnel. Responsible for the management of third party suppliers of awareness and training materials and services. This role is expected to develop and deliver awareness and training materials in person, hands-on, as well as through online Learning Management Systems and other teachers/trainers in the organization. The Manager ensures that the information security awareness program communicates our security policies and requirements in a manner which facilitates knowledge, understanding and practical application so that people know, understand and can follow them.
Core Responsibilities
• Plan, manage and create a positive information security awareness program that effectively engages employees, including changing the security behaviors of employees.
• Ensure that the SPE information security awareness program meets Sony compliance requirements and relevant industry regulations and standards.
• Coordinate and administer mandatory information security and privacy training through online Learning Management systems as well as other methods.
• Prepare and deliver targeted awareness campaigns (phishing, cyber security month, privacy, DLP, information governance, etc.)
• In coordination with Information Security functional owners, identify gaps and develop training plans for internal staff.
• In coordination with Information Security regional leads, develop or modify awareness plans for different cultures, nationalities and languages.
• Develop project and program budgets
• Perform project management
• Develop and maintain metrics that effectively measure the program's impact
• Develop and maintain reporting in conjunction with Information Security Assurance team
• Maintain departmental SharePoint site(s)
• Active participation in strategic initiatives in accordance with overall Information Security goals and objectives
• Participate in risk assessments and business impact assessments
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Minimum 3 years of Information Security experience with a Bachelor's Degree
• 1-3 years of Marketing or Communications experience a plus
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to communicate with internal/external entities and executives
• Effective leadership skills, demonstrated ability to coordinate people and teams to project/activity completion
• Ability to work in team environment sharing responsibilities
• Customer service-oriented
• Ability to work in a flexible environment where requirements and procedures continuously evolve
• Experience with contractual and regulatory controls sets such as PCI, HIPAA, preferred
• Certification in information security (CISSP, CISM, GIAC, or equivalent) preferred
• SharePoint skills a plus
• Familiarity with the use of integrating social media, gamification technology, virtual rewards programs in awareness programs
• A capable professional writer, able to research and prepare high quality, clearly-written awareness and training materials free of grammatical errors and spelling mistakes;
• Proactive and self-motivated, willing to take the lead on security awareness and training activities, developing and delivering to a well-thought-out strategy and plans;
• Confident and professional in relation to information security, with the knowledge and experience to exude competence.
• Ability to form complex 'communications/messages in a simple, clear and concise manner to the various communications within the organization.
• A ''people person'', good at establishing productive relationships with work colleagues and students;
• Ability to communicate with and coordinate the activities of others.
