Our London based Home Entertainment team are currently looking for a Marketing Manager to join their team in managing Third Party Partnerships for the release of third party distribution products in the home entertainment window in the UK and international markets.
This role centers around working with two globally recognized leading entertainment brands as the content output partner for home entertainment product in both the UK and international territories. The role involves facilitating the set up and marketing of a slate of Film and TV product reporting to Senior Marketing Manager – Third Party Partnerships based in London.
The role acts as the ultimate brand advocate for the partner, successfully conveying passion, excitement and commercial opportunity for the product slate both internally and externally. The role has ownership for developing and implementing marketing release plans. This will include creation of bespoke plans for each release, asset sourcing and creation, development & delivery of media and PR plans across the UK and territories and creative review & approvals with the partner.
The secondary element of the role involves managing workflows to mirror existing SPHE processes, project tracking & timeline co-ordination, reporting and invoicing and budget management.
What will you being doing with us?
65% Title & Product Management
On UK Releases:
• Develop and build a daily working relationship with the UK Partner and set up relevant working processes to ensure success. (E.g. weekly calls, meetings, updates, critical timelines and workflows)
• Work with the Partner to access all relevant materials, creative and research learnings and insights ahead of release.
• Develop and manage the marketing release plan for each title working with the Media and PR agencies and Consumer and Shopper Insights team to maximize the releases.
• Allocate ATL and BTL budget for each title, including media, social, PR Promotions, co-op, POS, merchandising budget and approve final expenditure.
• Monitor competitive activity and define the optimum release schedule for the title releases.
• Where relevant, ensure 3rd party promotions are in line with restrictions and guidelines from Home Office (US SPHE team)
• Utilize knowledge of film and TV slate, retail landscape and insights to highlight commercial opportunities.
• Build robust marketing plans for internal and external sell in and partner approval
• Drive innovation through test and learn approach to media and PR executions.
On international Releases:
• Working with the Partner, and the SPHE Home Office Programming and Creative team to provide the relevant Marketing and Creative assets for release to territories.
• Creative review & approvals for marketing campaigns from international markets to partner where new assets are created.
On all Releases:
• Input into title and SKU selection and planning for new release and catalogue product across the UK and multiple markets.
• Working with partners and SPHE Home Office Programming team to ensure we have the relevant assets, rights and holdback information.
• Preparation of engaging marketing overviews and sell in decks for label brand across new release and catalogue Blu-ray and DVD product (and Digital UK) to lead product sell in the UK and individual markets, this will involve close collaboration with the UK partner team.
• Manage the process for delivering marketing assets to market and understanding of asset availability & applicable restrictions
• Management of partner approvals
• Maintain high levels of knowledge of technological developments to ensure all marketing activities are fully maximised.
• Using SPE propriety systems to manage workflows and asset delivery as well as partner systems for approvals
20% Operations project management and coordination
• Project management– working with commercial and operations as well as partner teams to ensure smooth transition of the product to the market across all key territories
• Creation of project tracking tools, critical path and timeline management.
• Monitor & update master project plans and assist communicating deadlines to relevant stakeholders.
• Create project/product review documents & presentations for internal teams or partner as required.
• Scheduling calls & co-ordinate meetings & requirements
• Raise purchase orders, track project work & manage budgets
15% - Ad Hoc Third party business development
• Depending on workload, work on potential pitches for new potential partner acquisitions
• Work on set up of future SPHE acquisitions either signed or already in progress.
Are you the right person for the job?
To be considered for this role you will need to have the following experience, knowledge and skills to catch our attention:
• Previous experience gained within Media, Entertainment or Fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry.
• Film or Home Entertainment experience but this is not essential.
• Experience of managing Third Party Partners
• Experience with and working knowledge of UK trade environment is desirable.
• Experience of managing agencies and third parties.
• Some previous experience working across territories outside of the UK .
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent organisation skills, attention to detail and event planning.
• Demonstrable analytical and numeracy skills.
• Keen sense of 'process' & entrepreneurial approach.
• A high standard of influencing and interpersonal skills, in order to build and develop strong client relationships.
• Highly effective in managing both internal and external stakeholders at all levels
• Excels at project management.
• MS Office Suite, Excel proficiency required.
• Proven ability to provide strategic direction in a dynamic, deadline driven environment.
• Pro-active: can take ownership of delegated tasks.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks/projects at once
• A love for travel as you won't always be behind a desk
