Full Time Paid Internship
• Daily social media activities on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.
• Social media reporting and analysis through Sprout Social and other third party tools
• Brainstorming and implementing scheduling and project management for digital marketing stunts
• Supporting distribution and promotion of video for premiering shows
• Developing competitive assessments & trend analyses for key social media initiatives.
• Develop post and strategies to support Smithsonian Networks across various social platforms.
• Assist in the day-to-day task of editorial, marketing, and program scheduling for digital distribution
• Assist in QC of site, apps, social and interactive projects
• Offer ideas, input, and feedback during brainstorming cycles
• Misc. urgent task as they arise.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Current undergraduate student (rising junior or above)
• Interest in the Cable/Entertainment Industry
• 2.5 GPA or above
• Submission of cover letter- required
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to work at least 20 hours/week from January-April
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment under deadlines
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Able to provide administrative suppose as needed
Preferred:
• Strong writing skills
• Social Media Skills
• Photo editing/ photoshop skills
• Familiarity with Google Products
• Knowledge and understanding of digital marketing strategies
• Cable television experience a plus
• Active participation in extracurricular activities; clubs; and/or associations. Leadership positions while maintaining an above average GPA, a plus
• Prior internship experience in a related field, a plus
