Full Time Paid Internship
Will assist in the development and execution of marketing and advertising campaigns for the SHOWTIME streaming service including standalone service and 3rd-party streaming partners; Will gain exposure & experience to marketing across paid, owned and earned media channels; Will contribute to production of creative for all ad platforms including TV and Digital; Will learn about customer lifecycle marketing and contribute to subscriber acquisition and win-back strategies; Will develop marketing research and analytics skills; Will get expert understanding of TV/Entertainment industry landscape, including TV distributors, services and devices; Will gain project management skills and learn how to work as part of a cross-functional team.
• Assist in creation of Summer and Fall 2018 consumer marketing tactics
• Support acquisition efforts via direct-to-consumer and partner marketing projects
• Analyze performance of marketing, create reports and make campaign recommendations based on subscriber intelligence and research
• Assist in developing digital marketing tactics (ex. video, digital banners, email, social media, search) to drive subscriber acquisition, conversion and retention; Help grow key subscriber initiatives (ex. Gifting program, Annual subscription plan), Draft marketing and creative briefs, organize/edit promotional copy, compile images, traffic tactics thru approval process; Set-up A/B tests to optimize marketing; Create brand/marketing style guides; Liason with various Showtime departments: Key Account Marketing and Sales, Digital Services, Creative Services, Program Marketing, Media, Business Development/Product Management, Research, PR and Legal; Manage digital archive of Showtime, competitor programmer and partner marketing campaigns; Track industry developments and evaluate marketing impact for Showtime.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Current undergraduate student (rising junior or senior)
• Strong interest in Cable/Entertainment Industry
• 2.50 GPA or above
• Submission of a cover letter - required
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to work at least 35 hours/week for 8 weeks from 6/11-8/3
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment under deadlines
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to work and prioritize work assignments
• Able to provide administrative support as needed
Preferred:
• Cable television experience a plus
• Active participation in extracurricular activities; clubs; and/or associations. Leadership positions while maintaining an above-average GPA, a plus
• Prior internship experience in a related field, a plus
