Post Production Software Engineer
SUMMARY:
Our Post Production Engineering team develops software to support all of Pixar's post production pipeline, including color grading, packaging, delivery, and media asset archiving. Together with our internal customers, we have a complex pipeline of deliverables and can create terabytes of new media in a single day. Our software touches every Pixar project (feature films, shorts, and promotional material) and every version of it (digital cinema, DVD/Blu-ray, download/streaming, 3D, international). Our software needs to be reliable and robust so we can meet hard deadlines, yet flexible enough to adapt to new requirements on short notice. As innovations in both display and delivery technology transform the motion picture industry, we need engineers who are versatile and passionate to tackle new problems.
You are a software engineer who is comfortable both contributing to an existing code base and building products from scratch. You are excited to use your technical skills to solve the problems of those around you. You have web programming experience (frontend or backend), database experience, or experience with media transcoding. You are a great communicator, are flexible, and enjoy a sense of humor.
Help us implement our vision of a fully service oriented architecture. We deploy on RedHat's Kubernetes-based cloud development PaaS, OpenShift. Collaborate with Walt Disney Studios, as we develop and implement pipelines for the Interoperable Mastering Format (IMF).
