Manager Social Media - Nordics
Full Time Job
Netflix is hiring a Social Media Editor to set and own our brand social strategy and develop our platform presences in the Nordics.
Looking after a small social media team and working closely with external agencies and our internal marketing, PR, content, product and consumer insights teams, this person will be a thought leader in creating culture as well as being fascinated by brand building, tech and entertainment.
Fluent in the language of 140 (or 280) characters, the successful candidate is equally able to set social strategy, develop tone of voice, write a script, or fire off a well-timed social post.
First and foremost, this is a strategic role. We are not looking for community managers or someone to lead the department of doing cool stuff for no good reason. We need someone who can work creatively and strategically to identify the right platforms to speak to the right audiences - and help Netflix speak to them in the right way to grow earned media. Someone with a strong and well-informed point of view in critically analysing the latest social media trends and tactics and knowing which we can harness to help grow earned media in the Nordics.
The Netflix culture attracts daredevils who exhibit good judgment, innovation, selflessness, courage, impact, candid communication, passion, and intellectual curiosity. Read our culture memo to learn what it's actually like working for Netflix in the Nordics.
To excel in this environment, you must be independently minded, have impeccable creative taste, and strong instinct for stories that will get fans talking about Netflix and our shows more passionately and frequently than ever before.
The successful candidate for this position will likely have a minimum of five years' experience working in-house, at an agency or another company with a proven track record of generating earned word of mouth. Experience in building strategic editorial plans is a must. Fluency in English is a must, Swedish is highly preferred.
If this sounds like you, then maybe we'd give you our Toblerone.
