Manager, Social Media - Editorial (UCAN)
Netflix is hiring a Social Media Manager to manage the editorial efforts for Netflix social accounts in the US.
We're looking for someone who doesn't view social media addiction as a negative thing. Our ideal candidate is constantly consuming news and entertainment from every possible vertical through multiple platforms - and always ready with a hot take for Twitter.
Acutely aware of the trends in the US media landscape, this person is a witty, sharp, incredibly quick writer who knows how to identify the right audience for the right content and, more importantly, how to come correct when you speak to them. Fluent in the language of 140 (or 280) characters, this person is equally able to write a script for a Facebook, Instagram or Reddit. Above all, we're looking for a voracious and passionate consumer of media of all kinds who's ready to not just comment on culture, but create it.
If you're the kind of person who is fascinated by brand building, keeps a logo design book on the coffee table, follows the tech stocks, and loves TV and movies, then perhaps you'll take the crown.
Is this you? Great. Keep reading.
Representing the largest and most developed Netflix market, the right US Social Media Manager will help build social fandom around the Netflix brand through clear strategies, locking arms with Netflix Marketing, PR, Product, and Insights groups. You must have impeccable creative taste, and a strong instinct for stories that will get consumers talking. This person will also be responsible for adapting and complementing global title campaigns and social strategies to increase their relevance in a highly competitive US landscape.
The successful candidate for the this position will likely have a minimum of five years' experience working in-house, at an agency or another company that does cool shit. They must demonstrate both a desire and capacity to work in a newsroom-style environment that requires quick thinking, great calm and a good sense of humor. And they must also be willing to have a strong and well-informed point of view in critically analyzing the latest social media trends and tactics and how they might or might not work at Netflix.
Feel invigorated? Right on.
The Netflix culture attracts daredevils who exhibit good judgment, innovation, selflessness, courage, impact, candid communication, passion, and curiosity. Read the culture memo. If it resonates for you, maybe you're the right person to join our dream team.
