Full Time Unpaid Internship
Responsibilities NBCUniversal International is offering a number of 12-month Operations & Creative Services internship positions within various business divisions, including Universal Pictures International (UPI).
As an Intern, you will be supporting a fast-paced team to deliver a variety of operational activities whilst developing your own skills. You will have the opportunity to make valuable contributions to your department and build your knowledge in order to pursue a career in Operations or Creative Services within the media industry. Qualifications/Requirements Exact responsibilities will vary slightly between each division and team, however the main responsibilities of any Operations & Creative Services Intern will include:
• Assisting the team with the raising of purchase orders and invoice coding
• Prepare and process expense reports and purchase orders
• Working with third parties to maintain corporate websites and systems; overseeing the delivery of materials/assets as required
• Liaising with internal/external stakeholders at various levels on a regular basis
• Contributing to ad-hoc projects, which may include conducting research on competitors, screening content, and developing ongoing strategies
• Collating various reports and updates for distribution as appropriate
• Tracking inventories to ensure contractual requirements are met
• Overseeing archives, monitoring of costs and management of material movements/destruction
• Maintaining calendar of events, adjusting according to changes in scheduling
• Providing admin support to the team and additional support to the necessary Directors/VPs as required
Operations Intern:
• Database management and data inputting of weekly figures
• Organize monthly inter-department meetings
• Assisting with the planning and organization of key departmental events, such as slate presentations
• Ensuring data integrity in various reporting systems
Creative Services Intern:
• Assisting in requesting in-cinema banners and standees orders from territories and liaising with vendors to achieve deliveries to strict timelines
• Assisting in approving localised artwork materials with territories
• Maintaining detailed spreadsheets of IMAX trailer orders and shipping information
Education
and Qualifications
You will ideally be currently studying, or a recent graduate of, a degree-level or equivalent course specialising in Film, TV or Media-related subjects, seeking a 12 month internship in Operations and Creative Services
Essential
• A passion for Broadcasting and Media (particularly an interest in film and/or TV) with a desire to develop a career in Film/TV Operations and Creative Services
• Proactive and enthusiastic, with ability to work autonomously to deadlines, take initiative and keep calm under pressure
• Analytical with outstanding attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and ability to effectively prioritise and manage workload
• Self-starter and fast learner, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a busy team
• Strong office administration and IT skills; confident user of Microsoft Office (in particular PowerPoint)
• Ability to work with confidential materials discreetly and responsibly
• Excellent communicator (both written and verbal) with strong interpersonal skills; confident in communication with senior management
• Willingness to learn and ''can-do'' attitude
Desirable
• Some knowledge of the international film/television industry, including a basic understanding of film and digital formats
• Some experience, or a keen interest, in events management
• Database experience desirable – e.g. data entry, management etc.
• Previous use of SAP to process invoices and expenses
• Previous work experience in a similar environment
• Knowledge of Landmark/Perspective/Vision may be useful
Requirements
• Fluent English is essential; additional languages may be useful
