Job Title: Web Editorial Associate
Department: Interactive Services
Reports to: Director of Interactive Services
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/ Full-Time/ Seasonal
Position Summary: This person will aid the Web Editor and Director of Interactive Services with implementing the interactive media strategies and objectives. Responsibilities in the fast-paced environment includes: reporting daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly traffic from Timberwolves.com, Lynxbaketball.com, and all social networking platforms. Writing and reporting on the Timberwolves and Lynx; content updating for Timberwolves.com and Lynxbasketball.com; conducting and transcribing interviews; working Lynx and Wolves home games; shooting photos/video and editing for Web site; and assisting with other Interactive Services department projects as needed.
Essential Functions:
General Duties:
Produce web traffic reporting from Timberwolves.com, Lynxbasketball.com, and social media platforms. Organize and execute events with fans. Implement updates/changes to websites, using league content management system. Conduct/transcribe/edit interviews with players, coaches and basketball operations staff. Edit daily articles and postgame stories for websites. Update/write content and engage with fans on social media sites.

Job Function/Knowledge: Ability to multitask. Ability to learn basic tasks within the department. Has a core understanding of the department discipline. Able to manage processes throughout the entire season.

Planning and Budget Responsibility: Understands the budget of a department. May provide input on supply ordering for the department and for specific projects.
Teamwork and Culture: Work effectively in a team environment. Practice honesty and maturity. Able to work within a fast-paced culture.
Communication and Branding: Actively participate in learning company brands. Provide exceptional customer service as a brand ambassador for the organization.
Judgment and Decision Making: Demonstrate strong decision-making skills. Make decisions as they pertain to customers/fans/clients. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Experience: Previous web/interactive media experience is preferred. Familiarity with HTML, Photoshop, photography is also preferred.
Education:
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.: Willing to work nights and weekends and all Timberwolves and Lynx home games (before and after). Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Strong writing skills. Experience with sports-specific writing and/or broadcasting is preferred. Demonstrated organizational skills. Ability to multi-task under time constraints. Ability to work with a wide variety of people.
Supervisory Responsibility, if any: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 10 pounds
