Full Time Unpaid Internship
This position will be directly involved with media activities involving the club, assisting the media relations department with the production and distribution of daily media credentials, game notes, minor league reports, stat packs, etc. Additional tasks include writing press releases, editing publications such as the media guide, yearbook and Spring Training program, along with other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:

• Assist with the production/distribution of media credentials on game days at the media entrance
• Compile and distribute daily news clips, stat packs, game notes, press releases, etc. to the media
• Prepare and proofread content for the media guide, team yearbook and Spring Training program
• Oversee fan mail correspondences and assist with press conferences and press box assignments
• Perform general office duties and work on research projects as assigned by media relations staff
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience:
Must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student, or recently graduated from an accredited college or university. Previous experience working in professional sports or college environment in a media relations or sports information role is preferred.
Computer Skills:
To perform the job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and Internet Explorer. Adobe InDesign and Photoshop skills are preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, which may include heat, cold and various forms of precipitation. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Work Hours:
Hours vary according to the game and event schedule. Maximum of 40 hours per week. This position is a yearlong internship from January through December.
