Mills Entertainment is seeking a dynamic individual to join our touring team of Death of a King (the real story of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.) in the position of Touring Merchandise Coordinator & Seller.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Supervise the load-in of Merch and related materials
• Manage the setup of the Merch area(s)
• Execute local seller training, if applicable
• Responsible for selling and cash management, demonstrating a high degree of trust
• Complete settlement and load-out process, including Merch report, content for Performance Report, and Merch area photo
• Handle Merch restocking communication process through Merchandise Report Notes Sheet
• Driving a tour vehicle (box truck, or car), with required DOT breaks and some volunteer shifts from additional crew members
• Maintain and submit expense reports, and credit card reconciliations accurately and timely
Required Qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent required, additional education helpful
• Prior touring experience preferred
• Must be able to lift at least 30lbs
• Must be comfortable driving a box truck or car, and complete DOT documentation in accordance with DOT rules and regulations
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and Google Docs, AtVenu
• Must be able to travel on a regular basis
• Ability to work independently and autonomously, supporting the artist and touring crew.
• Strong communication skills
Key Information (subject to change): Training during technical rehearsals: January 13 - 14, 2018, with tour ending on or about April 14 2018. Compensation for this position is $727.50 per week plus $30.00 per diem and double-occupancy hotel.
