Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. (''MGM'') is seeking a Director-level candidate in the International Television Distribution group with a strong quantitative and strategy background for a Sales Strategy role.
Responsibilities:
• Source and analyze business opportunities related to the distribution of film and television internationally, for all television platforms including traditional free TV, subscription TV and new media platforms
• Analyze market data to foresee new trends and identify new revenue opportunities
• Negotiate local production joint-venture agreements, and develop M&A opportunities and other new business ventures
• Increase license fees from current media sales through analysis of ratings, broadcast scheduling and digital media metrics, and formulate strategies to increase revenue and drive new business
• Analyze license deals, particularly high value and long-term strategic deals, utilizing financial modeling and forecasting
• Support the negotiation of feature film output deals, format deals, and other strategic agreements
• Supervise a small team of analysts and report such team's progress to senior management in weekly status meeting
Requirements:
• BA/BS degree; MBA desirable
• 3 years prior experience in television and/or film distribution, investment banking, management consulting or media-focused technology
• Strong financial modeling skills
• Thorough understanding of market analysis, competitive analysis and strategic thinking
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Extremely proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Self-starter with the entrepreneurial drive to regularly bring new ideas to the team
