Full Time Job
This candidate will be responsible for booking guests for all Marvel New Media video, editorial and audio needs, as well as helping with the support of Marvel's own New Media on-camera talent. This individual will serve as the main representative when it comes to coordinating appearances of talent from other Marvel departments as well as all guests from outside of Marvel's own work. They will be expected to proactively find guests to appear as part of Marvel New Media content and be available as needed to support those guests when they working with Marvel. They will also help support Marvel New Media hosts in building their own public profiles in a variety of ways.
Responsibilities
This New York based candidate must be a self-starter who feels comfortable working with a range of production and entertainment industry people to help secure guests for a wide-variety of New Media content projects.
They will not only be responsible for the booking of all guests for Marvel New Media content, but will also be the primary person in charge of welcoming guests when they arrive at Marvel, taking talent on tours of the Marvel office and guiding them to and from various production projects the guests have been booked for. They will also handle the booking of all guests for live events, such as red carpets and Cons. They must be comfortable and able to book guests with very short notice at times and also plan out long-term booking strategies that support the various New Media content initiatives.
They must be able to quickly accrue a high-level of knowledge when it comes to the Marvel landscape, across all lines of business, including publishing, television, film and gaming. They must feel comfortable working with all levels of guests and be able to make all guests feel comfortable and excited about being part of Marvel New Media content.
They will also be responsible for working with Marvel's own on-camera talent in helping increase their public profiles within the industry.
Collaboration is a key component to this role, and he/she must be able to work well with our on-camera talent, as well as a variety of behind the scenes producers, directors and editors. The candidate must have the ability to meet and adapt to internal priorities as well as industry trends/demands be flexible and able to balance multiple projects/priorities. Strong interpersonal skills are crucial, as this person, twill be in many cases, representing Marvel to the outside world in conversations.
Candidate will report directly the VP, Development, New Media.
Basic Qualifications
• A minimum of 2 - 3 years experience as a booking producer or equivalent production experience
• An established rolodex of entertainment industry guests and the ability to grow that rolodex over time
• Basic knowledge of the Marvel brand and its characters
• Knowledge of the entertainment industry in terms of trends and news
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and execute quickly on projects
• Insight into the world of social media and what video means in that space.
• Proven track record of being attentive to details and being able to manage a variety of personalities
• The proven ability to work with a variety of people and teams
