Search for Senior Publicist jobs in New York-NY
NYC-based, entertainment-focused agency with major film studio and television clientele is seeking a seasoned, highly motivated Senior Publicist. Ideal candidate should have the ability to work in a highly collaborative team structure, and will be responsible for servicing existing clients as well as developing new business opportunities. Entertainment experience is a plus but not required.
Job Responsibilities include:
Identifying, engaging and pitching prospective clients
Spearheading new client relationships
Servicing both national and digital accounts
Relationship building with influencers and editors
Drafting of proposals and strategies
Client presentations
Assisting and/or managing events and junkets
Drafting of press notes and press kits
Compiling press coverage for reporting, breaks and weekly status reports
Collaboration with other agency departments including Social Media
Travel to and from Los Angeles as needed
Job Requirements
5+ years of relevant experience
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Familiarity with online tools and databases such as Cision and Tweetdeck
Availability after hours to field client requests
Ability to work independently and be self motivated, while still working within a team environment
