Revelmode, a joint venture with Maker Studios, is seeking a Community Manager to play a key role in cultivating the voice and engaging the community of this new gaming entertainment brand.
Based in either Brighton or London, the ideal candidate will have a background overseeing community-building initiatives, a deep knowledge of the digital space and all social platforms. Candidates should be able to closely analyze trends and fan interactions to help creatively guide and grow a robust community. An up to date interest and knowledge of gaming and pop culture is preferable to better interact with the community.
Responsibilities
• Brainstorm and execute community activations for Revelmode and its associated talent such as panels, AMAs, game jams and talent shout out competitions
• Build and manage day-to-day social media pages for a network of brand social media properties including Twitter, YouTube and Facebook with a focus on building a community of engaged fans around brands, programming, and talent
• Oversee forums, social media accounts, apps/ websites, AMA's scheduling and charity drives and strategize new community-building initiatives
• Implement KPIs and analyze success of community social media efforts and strategies
• Develop personality on social platforms and write in character
• Moderate and interact with public/private forums
• Research and compile statistics on friends, followers, and subscribers across various social media sites and pages
• Respond to fans and interact with community on a daily basis
• Create reports from YouTube and Facebook insights
• Compile and organize content across multiple social media pages
• Mail out prizes for giveaways and promotions
• Repost content from main hubs on other social networks
• Assist in maintenance of content calendar
• Handle negative social comments appropriately and with common sense
Basic Qualifications
• Hands-on experience working across variety of social media platforms, including Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and Reddit with specific experience with YouTube as a social ecosystem
• Experience analyzing trends and fan interactions, creatively guiding and growing robust communities
• Exceptional organizational, follow through and multi-tasking skills; attention to detail
• Ability to set and achieve goals
• Must have excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
Preferred Qualifications
• A Bachelor's degree in a related digital media, PR/communications, and/or marketing field is preferred
• Social media certifications and training are a plus
• A background or understanding of social metrics and analysis with the ability to hit specific and actionable goals would be highly regarded
• Expertise and experience in leveraging social media platforms for marketing, business growth, and community engagement purposes
• Photoshop skills is a plus
