Job Summary
The Motion Graphics Artist /Digital Designer will concept, research and design original content ranging from live action and scripted episodic content to short-form creative, motion graphic narratives, and infographics for all LA Clipper's branded digital channels. You will be working alongside the Content Production team to bring our content to life: from conception through to publication.
Candidates must have strong Adobe CC skills, be an expert with After Effects and Premiere Pro, and excel at storytelling in a variety of formats.
The Motion Graphics Artist / Digital Designer will possess a high-level of creative resourcefulness and will bring a well-defined design sense, self-sufficiency, and a keen ability to be a part of talented team that produces and publishes multi-format and multi-platform content.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
• Designing and producing engaging content in various formats across multiple digital platforms
• Creating engaging short/long form motion graphic video assets and highly stylized graphics for web, social, email and app distribution.
• Consistently researching and initiating new motion graphics projects and formats for designated content franchises.
• Partner with production & digital leads to identify content that will translate into videos to engage and excite Clipper's fan base on a daily basis.
• Elevating the various company brand aesthetics through motion graphics and storytelling.
• Researching the latest design trends to keep the LA Clipper's brand fresh for our audience and publishing platforms
• Crafting high-quality original concepts with minimal direction.
• Prioritizing workload and managing expectations per direction from Digital Director.
• Work on creative development, online branding aesthetic and promo initiatives.
• Keep an organized list of all design elements, status and delivery schedule to share with team.
• Quality check and provide direction to digital team and producers on implementation of graphics.
• Ensure design for all videos are optimized for social platforms.
• Create style guides for all video/photo content and be willing to design solutions on the fly.
• Create graphics templates, as well as customized designs for team usage.
• Work inter-departmentally to ensure all brand objectives are being met.
• Collect and share inspiration for new ideas, create mood boards, animation tests based on social trends etc.
• Develop presentation and marketing materials when necessary.
• Understand studio production and post-production processes.
Characteristics
/ Qualifications
• 5 years of professional experience working in video production, motion graphics and design
• Expert with all aspects of Adobe CC Suite – Specifically Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
• Passion for visual storytelling with a strong sense of design, typography, illustration
• Highly creative, organized and able to work independently with little direction
• Strong collaboration and communication skills and able to adapt to changing show styles and schedules
• Enthusiasm and leadership experience to mentor junior-level teammates
• Comfortable working in a fast paced, multi-tasking production environment
• Strong knowledge and experience with different video formats, codecs, frame rates, audio compression, and standards for web video
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Must be able to work a flexible and dynamic work schedule that accommodates the needs and demands of the stakeholders in regard to project requests.
