The Role:
Legal Assistant supporting members of the M&A Legal and Business Teams.
Responsibilities:
Draft standard transaction agreements and related documentation as supervised by the members of the M&A Legal Team.
Prepare and maintain a variety of internal reports and transaction files, including internal resource data-bases.
Proofread and edit transaction documentation drafted by the M&A Legal Team.
Draft contract summaries.
Preparation of redlines; review and summarize third party redlines.
Contract management and organization; assembly of closing sets.
Manage deal team calendars for the M&A Legal and Business team members.
Assist with business travel arrangements and perform other executive assistant functions for senior members of the M&A Legal and Business Teams
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum of 1 - 2 years of experience.
Strong computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, PowerPoint, and other database programs).
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Strong attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness of work product.
Strong interpersonal skills, team oriented yet a self-starter able to take initiative, think creatively and work independently.
Excellent organization and time management skills.
Ability to handle high volume work, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Ability to establish processes/systems and streamline current processes/systems.
