Started in 2008, Happy Place is a creative production agency based in Los Angeles, CA with satellite offices in New York, Atlanta, and Miami. Equipped with a team of directors, photographers, editors and producers that bring a unique perspective to each project, our approach and creative standards separate us from the rest. We pride ourselves on pushing the needle of creativity forward while still staying relevant with current trends and popular culture. In addition to traditional production projects, we also provide creative directing for artists--complete with branded content for broadcast and viral purposes. Our work is consistently recognized by various mainstream media outlets and has garnered several award nominations and wins.
We are looking for a winter/spring intern who is interested in film production. We produce a lot of music videos that are very fast-paced, so it's a great opportunity to experience the full production process. We need someone who is a good problem-solver, has great communication skills, and can keep up with a fast-paced environment. The intern will be helping with research for projects (locations, artists, etc.), project prep and wrap, on-set assistance, and the general daily tasks of running a production company. This is a great chance to gain experience in the entertainment industry, production, and entrepreneurship.
Responsibilities:
- project-specific research
- assisting with formatting and designing treatments and pitches
- assisting with compiling wrap books
- acting as a liaison on set for the the director, producer, and production assistants
- shadowing different film departments on set
- general production office tasks and paperwork
Requirements:
- school credit (the internship is unpaid)
- a car and driver's license
- 2-3 days per week time commitment
- proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- proficiency in Pages, Keynote, and/or Adobe Photoshop is a plus
