OVERALL SUMMARY:
This position will play a key role in the benefits and operations function. Primary role is to support in the administration of HBO's health & welfare programs, and HR operations functions.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Leave administration (includes short term disability, long term disability, FMLA, and state statutory leaves)
• Conduct the Benefits portion of new hire orientation
• Work closely with employees at all levels of the organization on benefit related issues and escalate where necessary
• Administer HBO's tuition reimbursement program
• Coordinate HIPAA Training
• Manage Annual Records Retention process
• Conduct departmental audits, ie staff & non-staff employee files
• Participate in special projects as needed; provide ad hoc reports to management
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum 1-3 yrs experience in benefits function
• Minimum 1 year leave administration experience preferred
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office- emphasis on Excel
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills including presentation skills
• Must be flexible; have the ability to work independently or as a team player in a fast paced environment
• Must have demonstrated strong analytical skills
• Must be detail oriented, highly organized and have excellent judgment
• Workday experience a plus
