GEORGIA STATE UNIVERSITY anticipates hiring a full-time Professor of Practice in Music Management pending budgetary approval. The selected candidate can anticipate providing leadership for the Bachelor of Science Music Management degree program, teaching undergraduate courses in Music Management and related areas and participating in service at the school, college, and/or university levels. Essential qualifications: demonstrable record of success in the music industry; knowledge and understanding of music marketing, promotion, publishing, distribution & subscription, touring, and digital aggregation; and knowledge and understanding of artist/producer management skills and methods. Preferred qualifications: work experience in at least one of the following: commercial record label, distribution company, publishing company, management company or experience as a working artist or producer in the field; Bachelor degree or higher; and successful teaching experience at the collegiate level.
Submit: 1) a letter of application addressing the essential and preferred qualifications as well as your teaching philosophy and your past and/or potential contributions to diversity and inclusion through teaching; 2) curriculum vitae; and 3) a minimum of three letters of recommendation.
