We are a media company, a production company and a tech company all rolled into one, and we're looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team in West Hollywood.
As the Human Resources Manager reporting to the CFO/COO you will be the main point of contact to administer day-to-day activities and functions on a variety of HR duties, with the emphasis on payroll, benefit administration and other human resources as needed. In addition to owning all HR processes and initiatives, you will be responsible for managing the company equity including manaing the cap table and stock option ledger. Attention to detail is a must.
Key Responsibilities
-Process and administer semi-monthly payroll through ADP WorkforceNow and update personnel changes, such as promotions, demotions, transfers, wage garnishments, changes to salary, benefits, job classifications, etc.
-Oversee administration and compliance of benefit plans and direct open enrollment activities; serve as point of contact for management for coordination of the benefits program and vendors, and provide counsel and input into the decision-making process.
-Prepare and maintain accurate records, files and reports; including maintaining personnel records in a hard copy and electronic format throughout internal server, ADP Workforce Now, PlanSource and BambooHR.
-Maintain an ongoing record of equity grants for Board meetings; administer the approved data in Solium-Shareworks and process any equity transaction as it occurs. Process any new grant exercise(s) and generate stock certificate(s). Generate monthly Cap Table and other reports through Solium-Shareworks as requested.
-Process termination paperwork, COBRA administration via PlanSource, and respond to unemployment claims filed, and if needed, respond to EDD or other state agency notices.
-Direct new-hire orientation and onboarding process in collaboration with the Senior Management Team and assist in the recruitment process, which includes coordination with IT Team and generating offer of employments.
-Assist management in planning and implementing performance evaluation process.
-Administer all FMLA/CFRA/PDL leave processes to ensure compliance with federal and state leave of absence. Complete all benefit audits for State of California and all applicable states.
-Support as counsel and resource to individual employees, Senior and Executive Management team in order to answer recruitment, benefits, process, program, or other employee questions.
Qualifications:
-Three to five years of progressive experience within HR with previous work as an HR Generalist or Senior Generalist. Experience practicing HR in a creative industry preferred.
-Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from 4-year college or university.
-Strong comprehension of equity.
-Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
-Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with varied projects, deadlines and priorities.
-Excellent problem solving/judgment skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
-Strong organizational, project management, communications skills and strong interpersonal skills.
-Strong skills using and understanding the flow of transactions in an integrated complex HR workflow.
-Proficient in ADP Workforce Now, BambooHR, PlanSource and Solium-Shareworks.
-General knowledge of the principles and practices of personnel administration; ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with -peers and employees; ability to present information and make recommendations effectively in oral and written form.
-Proficient computer skills such as Microsoft Office.
